The turn of the Times Express sometimes only takes a few years. In 2003, Zhang Junhui left Huizhou and moved his family to Hong Kong. He thought that his business would spread quickly. Using Hong Kong as a springboard, the family could consider moving to Europe in a few years. Or the United States, starting a new life, a typical "European and American dream" story.

But in 2008, the train suddenly turned a corner: Zhang Junhui retired his office in Hong Kong and returned to Huizhou with his business to look for opportunities again. His wife is from Hong Kong. When the family left Huizhou, his wife was a staunch supporter. Five years later, when Zhang Junhui was coming back, his wife agreed with her husband's decision. He said, "The times have changed."

Left Huizhou.

When he left Huizhou, Zhang Junhui was in his thirties. Previously, he was a trade "broker", selling cheap goods from the mainland to Hong Kong, Europe and the United States and other countries and regions to earn some price difference. At that time, there were still many deficiencies in the development of Huizhou. Zhang Junhui could tell many memories about the deficiencies without much effort: for example, the export tax rebate was slow, and it often took more than half a year; the logistics efficiency was low, but the cost was much higher than that of Shenzhen and Dongguan. Even starting a business is fraught with hurdles - waiting more than a month for a business license...

Choosing to go to Hong Kong, Zhang Junhui told the China Youth Daily • China Youth Network reporter that he "did not hesitate". Compared with Huizhou at that time, Hong Kong "almost all advantages".

To understand Hong Kong's role in the global economic system, it has been said that the best way to think of it is as a transformer connecting two circuits of different voltages - which has gradually become the world's No. 1 in China over the past few decades. In the process of becoming the two largest economies, Hong Kong has cleverly played a role in connecting China and the world.

It was a hot land, Zhang Junhui looked forward to, and finally came here. The appearance of an international metropolis had a huge impact on him. At the beginning, he was "excited for a long time" when he was walking on a road full of high-rise buildings. Stories of "an inch of land and an inch of gold" could be heard everywhere in the restaurant. Interesting cargo ships signify the prosperity of trade. "It feels like the vision is different."

However, such excitement did not last long, and the days of firewood, rice, oil and salt finally occupied most of the time in reality. He wants to rent an office, and the monthly rent for a space of about 40 square meters is nearly 20,000 Hong Kong dollars. He wants to take advantage of the advantages of the international trade port to develop more business, but the business volume has not improved much. On the contrary, the labor cost is high. He began to doubt his choice: "Is it necessary to set up an office in Hong Kong at such a high cost?" In addition to the setbacks in business, the discomfort in life is heavier, and the cost of food, clothing, housing and transportation has increased rapidly.

Zhang Junhui said that he soon discovered that there are actually two in Hong Kong, one is in high-rise buildings, and the other is scattered in the gaps of high-rise buildings.

Back to Huizhou

Just like going to Hong Kong, the decision to return to Huizhou took only a short time for Zhang Junhui's family. Talking about it after many years, he regretted a little. What he regretted was not coming back, but coming back late.
The years Zhang Junhui being left Huizhou, China's economy set off a new round of growth. Since 2003, China's GDP (gross domestic product) has maintained double-digit growth for five consecutive years. Even during the financial crisis in 2008, this speed has not been greatly affected. The growth rate of 9.7% is still ahead of the world's major Economy. "The rapid economic development is beyond my imagination." Huizhou, who grew up in childhood, became less familiar, Zhang Junhui said. If you don't pay attention for a while, you will find that there is a new road on this side of the city and a few more buildings there. new building.
Before he came back, he had calculated an account: renting a square meter of factory in Huizhou only cost 8 yuan, and the average salary of labor was about 1,000 yuan per month. In just five years, the logistics system he cares most about has improved several times in efficiency, and the cost has been reduced a lot.
In 2008, as the country paid more and more attention to environmental protection issues, Zhang Junhui invested in Worldchamp (Huizhou) Plastics Products Co., Ltd. and began to deeply cultivate the plastic products industry. In the future, with a large market of 1.4 billion people, no matter what project you do, I think its prospects are broad."

In recent years, Zhang Junhui's business has grown bigger and bigger, and his understanding of the development opportunities in the mainland has become deeper and deeper, especially the proposal of the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Plan" has made him sigh with emotion: everything is moving forward rapidly.

He said that the government now provides them with almost "nanny-style" services. All kinds of problems can be well communicated and solved, and the service has become more and more perfect. A fact that can be corroborated is that in the past, it took more than a month to get it. It only takes one day to obtain a business license now, "the mainland has been able to do this."

The dividends of the Greater Bay Area began to be released continuously. In order to attract young people from Hong Kong and Macao to work and start businesses in the mainland, the government has introduced a series of facilitation measures. For example, on July 28, 2018, the State Council issued the "Decision on Cancelling a Batch of Administrative Licensing and Other Matters". People from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao do not need to apply for employment in the mainland. License too. Guangdong continues to promote the construction of Hong Kong and Macao youth innovation and entrepreneurship base system and various innovation and entrepreneurship carriers, and exerts efforts in policies, services, environment and other aspects, only to "retain talents".

Zhang Junhui observed that in Huizhou, companies around him are accelerating production expansion, and new projects are constantly being launched. Some time ago, a friend who has been in the insurance business in Hong Kong for 20 years chatted with him, hoping that he could introduce himself to more mainland customers, "In the past, they all thought that Hong Kong was superior to the mainland, but now both sides are very optimistic about the mainland market. ".
The choice of the minority ends up being the majority. The entrepreneur now often participates in some entrepreneur business exchange activities organized by the government. One phenomenon that makes him happy is that there are more and more Hong Kong entrepreneurs around him. He said that the government has given such a big platform, "the express train of this era must catch up."
